What I do
I offer a comprehensive strength and conditioning program catered to your goals and needs.
Its important to note that your goals and needs may, and often do, differ drastically.
For example, maybe you want to complete 3 Spartan Races in one summer, to obtain the coveted Spartan Trifecta. For example, your goal is to ultimately complete the 13.1 mile endurance challenge in under 5 hours (and that's a competitive time); however, you need to improve your baseline strength and lactic acid threshold in short and intense workouts to prepare you for the long haul. That's where I come in with the programming to get you across the finish line, in record time.
For others it just about improving their base level of fitness so that they may live happier and healthier lives! And that's great, so we do a significant amount of cross training. Why do I like cross training?
Because in addition to getting you in the best shape of your life, it makes you into a more functional human being, able to care for yourself and others in a broader array of situations.
After all, it important to remember why we choose to pursue fitness in the first place. To live a higher quality of life both in the present and in the future. Ultimately, to delay the onset of decrepitude.
During the cross training process you will also attain a high level of General Physical Preparedness (GPP). I.e. increased work capacity over broad time and modal domains. In english, you will be ready for anything (almost anything). Why? Because the demands of the workouts are always changing. There is no routine. Routine is the enemy and the antagonist of progress. Let's face it, while we like to pretend we're in control of our destiny, in reality we never truly know what life is going to throw at us. In that regard, I sleep better at night knowing I am better prepared for the unknown.
Wrap every session up with one short and intense effort...and you will see gains. More than you ever thought possible. Check the clients pages, follow workout blog. Over time you will see the movements evolve in complexity, the weights increase and the athletes transform.
