Nutrition
LESSON #1
I recently saw this pop up on my newsfeed courtesy of Whole30. It couldn't be more true. We live in a world with finite resources, health, time, money...
A lesson in food math from forum member Puppypower:
"no effort + inexpensive + nutritious = not possible
You can have any 2 out of the 3, but you can't have all 3. A little food math:
no effort + inexpensive = junk food or take out
no effort + nutritious = personal chef or PreMade Paleo
inexpensive + nutritious = prepare your own meals
It's up to you to decide which two of those things are the most important to you..."
The last line of this post resonates with me most. We all have to do a little bit better of a job putting our health first.
Fact: We can all forgo some simple pleasures to afford higher quality foods.
Fact: It will always be easier to have someone else prepare your meals for you.
Fact: Get the idea out of your head that everything is supposed to be EASY
The last time you PR'd a benchmark WOD was it easy?
Hell no!!! You worked your ass off. If you think healthy eating is any different you're dead wrong. It's going to take time, hard work, discipline and dedication. But I have seen each and everyone of you leave it all on the gym floor. Let's do the same in the kitchen.
