What is CrossFit Endurance.
CrossFit Endurance is utilized as a supplement to the traditional CrossFit strength and conditioning program. We use CrossFit as a foundation and enhance your training by incorporating specific endurance sport training throughout the week. I have trained or am currently training athletes for the following endurance type events all of which I have completed myself in some form or another:
5k's, 10k's, and half marathons;
Warrior Dash, Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, and other mud/obstacle runs; and
Go Ruck.
What makes CrossFit Endurance training unique?
CrossFit Endurance flips the traditional model of endurance training from a
Volume;
Intensity; ,
Technique/Skill based approach to a
Technique/Skill;
Intensity; then
Volume based approach.
This does a couple things:
1.) Limits your risk of injury by ensuring first that you run correctly;
2.) Teaches you how to run faster; and,
2.) Only gives you volume when you can handle it (but only so much volume as is necessary).
This is an ideal approach for those of us with prior running injuries, who have a busy life and those who do not want to suffer from the drawbacks of strictly aerobic training (decreased muscle mass, strength, power, speed and anaerobic capacity).
Your programming will be entirely unique based on your current:
Activity level;
Heath & fitness;
Sport specific experience; and
Endurance goals.
Let me teach you to run better!
I teach pose running to make you a an efficient runner and keep you out of harms way. In short I will teach you to three things:
1. The proper running pose or body position;
2. How to fall and use gravity to your advantage; and,
3. How to pull with your hamstrings.
I will repeatedly video tape your form and you will see vast improvements and work capacity overtime in addition to decreased splits.
